Your privacy

This page explains how WheelFind handles information when you browse WheelFind or send a vehicle enquiry.

Vehicle enquiries

When you submit a form, we collect your name, email address, phone number and message. We also record the vehicle reference and submission time. We use this information to handle your request and pass it to the contact responsible for that listing.

Netlify processes and stores form submissions for this website and sends email notifications to the contact assigned to the vehicle. That contact receives your enquiry in their email account and may keep correspondence to respond to you.

Optional advertising measurement

If you accept optional tracking, we send page views, vehicle views, contact clicks and successful enquiry events to Meta using its Pixel and Conversions API. These may include the page and vehicle reference, browser identifiers, IP address and browser information.

For an enquiry, matching information such as your email address and phone number is normalised and hashed before we send it to Meta. Hashing does not make this information anonymous. We do not send the text of your message to Meta. We do not treat the advertised vehicle price as revenue from your enquiry.

You can reject optional tracking and still browse and enquire. Use Cookie settings in the footer to change your choice. Withdrawal stops future optional tracking; it does not undo processing that has already taken place.

Security and retention

We use Netlify’s form spam filtering and a hidden bot-detection field. Enquiries and notification emails are stored in their respective services. You can contact us to ask about retention or request deletion of your enquiry. Optional advertising matching information is processed by a server function; this website does not maintain a separate advertising-event database.

Your choices and questions

You may ask about your information or request access, correction or deletion, subject to applicable requirements. Use the email contact on the vehicle listing associated with your enquiry.

Enquiry processing supports responding to your request. Optional advertising measurement relies on your consent. Service providers may process information outside the UK under their applicable data-transfer arrangements.
